Even if a meteor were to destroy seattle, you can be sure that all the analysts would find something positive to say about whatever positions they were left holding:

"We feel that the death of all 1400 employees at Amazon will result in a reasonable one time charge (we do not anticipate another meteor in the forseable future) and furthurmore, looking forward, the sales and marketing staff will no longer require a salary, thus decreasing overall losses by 6 cents a share. True, there will be no more sales, but Amazon lost money on every sale anyway. We maintain our STRONG BUY rating, and recommend buying any dips. (unless you are a client with more than 2 million dollars held at our firm, in which case we privately recommend you GET OUT WHILE THERE ARE STILL IDIOTS LEFT WHO PAY ATTENTION TO OUR PUBLIC RECOMMENDATIONS!!)"
