Jenna,

During my mutual fund and buy/hold days, I had a neighbor who never seemed to go to work... he was an elderly gentleman but not of retirement age at the time. His hobby it seemed was to make that long agonizing trip to the Benz dealership every six months (I could have sworn that man had a new 500s parked in his garage every 3 months but my wife corrected me). Finally I couldn't resist the urge to ask him what he does? I thought he was dealing drugs! He said he plays the stock market... so I boastfully started to tell him how my 21st Century Ultra, my Berger 100 and my Safeco Equity were just "tearing them up" and "Gosh darn, look at my Exxon and my Sears, they're at 39 now... they were at 35 when I bought them 3 years ago." He laughed and called me a "Straightliner" (or was it "Street Liner"?) can't remember rightly because his tone made me furious. He proceeded to tell me he plays the "wrinkles" of the stocks... he said that for every line I draw from point A to point B in my investment, he can draw out a line at least 20 times longer by playing the wrinkles. I never gave it a second thought... but I've always envied his Benzes.

It took me a while to realize the man was a Stock Trader...

So here I am! And, there's CUST's wrinkles to iron out!

Jenna that was a great article very eloquently put in your usual inimitable style! As for me I am just recovering from a severe case of Stock Mkt Vertigo and am presently well on the road to recovery, my life goal is to "Be Like Jenna"!
Thanks for all the invaluable help, and best wishes always,
Burj
