Just some thoughts on EXDS

- Does it make sense for INTC to build a hosting network from
scratch ? According to analysts, EXDS has a 2 year head start, which is enormous (beats me, how all the big players have missed this one). INTC will have to plan & build ca. 20 centers, $ 100M each, find and recruit skilled staff and then finally also compete with EXDS for new clients. Furthermore, INTC will want to persuade clients to switch to INTC servers, while 80 % of big websites already run on SUNW.

- As some recent articles indicate, EXDS will soon offer ASP
(Application Service Provider) services, which will be a
huge thing.

- In the not so distant future your desktop at home will be connected via cable, and a copy of your hard drive will be
at Exodus (constantly updated online). When travelling, be it in
an airplane or in a hotel room, you will access your ISP on a
local computer device or your palmtop, and once online your hard drive (at EXDS) will come up as an icon. (Source : French TV)

- EXDS is winning 80 % of their offers which obviously means, that
theiy have pricing power. According to CEO Hancock, the economics
are currently 6-1 in favor of outsourcing web operations.

IMHO, Exodus is a gem and the question is not, whether EXDS will be acquired, but what price and (attractive) currency they would accept.

Lets hope they stay independent and continue to give us annual returns
of >300%.
