Have you ever been a beta tester? YES and NO.

Most retail software, I end up beta testing it, AFTER I BOUGHT IT, reporting bugs, sometimes paying for long distance calls, and waiting for patches.

So yes I beta test lots of retail products that are released before they should be.

Have I been a real beta tester, NO, I have enough headaches beta testing some of the final releases. I'm doing one right now, Windows SE. Causing blue screens, and doesn't like my CDRW.

It's exactly fair, right, expected and the purpose of beta to be critical of the unfinished form.
