Larger companies are also preparing for an expected hosted Internet application boom.

Ann Livermore, Hewlett-Packard's president and CEO of the Enterprise Computing Solutions division, said HP is organizing around providing infrastructure for "e-services".

"We are going to see applications in billing, procurement, computing, and even MIPS on demand," Livermore said in a keynote speech at the conference. "Companies have to get beyond website thinking."

While HP will offer some "apps-on-tap", such as e-mail, the company will provide software, hardware, and integration support to companies setting up their own e-services, Livermore said

One thing about our suspect manipulator par excellence is that he has a habit of protesting too much. He is also ver very long HAUP if that was an honest statement.
