Good morning Sonny and thread,
I too have had trouble getting on SI. First my ISP was not working{upgrading} then something with SI.
Stocks look good again. I bot some YHOO on Mon. Too cheap to pass up.So far so good. I will sit on this now no matter what.I have a few laggards like SVGI. but will hold until I see the whites of their eyesGG.
My goofy method is finally paying off. so far this year,50%
I have to check with acct for tax. I can't afford WCOM now as I will wait for better price. I stayed on the line with my broker mon. to buy as I have gotten caught in the spread too many times and am not sophisticated enough to know the ropes. Am trying to upgrade to Win98 and having trouble so may be off for a while gg Enjoy the 4th!

Sonny: Re: Intc et al

Your post re: M. Dell selling his shares is on the mark. It seems some investors miss what this guy has done and will continue to do in the PC industry, and all those Intel inside chips, at least so far,
Let's see intc run-up before 7/14, positive statements, over $110 by xmas, 2000, i'll take it anyday.
Your LU is still a powerhouse.
OTOT Re: Nextel, It may be bought but it is truly a niche co, that McCaw has geard first to business, and the buy-out from WCOM was talking hi 40's, lo 50's which if true doesn't take into account the future this co. can do here and in S.Amer., and elswhere. Seem to hear alot more of their adds. The SI Board for a long while have been adamantly against selling to WCOM, esp. now that its cash positive. Still heavy debt, needs to get better rates form lenders, add-ons are key.
Well, off to Ocean City, NJ to stay @ friend's summer home. Sonny, and All, have a great and safe 4th.

Regards, Royco

Hello thread.

I want to wish all our posters a very great 4th of July weekend. And aren't we lucky to live in a country like this, no matter how much we gripe about it? gg. Taxes, stock market, politics, Greenspan and - you name it.

Don't you all go up in flames now trying to light those holiday spirits.

Sonny

royco and Ann. I got to run. Will answer later including those PM's. Maybe tomorrow.

Ann. I never did download SI beta. So, you are on your own until further notice. gg. I thought they gave it up. I will check it out some more later. The download was way to slow.

Really got to run now.
