If (at a cocktail party) I met both you and someone who had become wealthy through working at Drexel in the late 1980's, you can be assured that in addition to being much more interested in talking to you, I also would probably not even be willing to shake hands with the Drexel person.

But (unfortunatley), some people out there will shake hands with former Drexel people.

I'm not so sure the new wealth and hard work aren't going hand in hand. I know people working very hard and taking some big risks on web businesses and if they have a hit they certainly did work for it. It may just be the nature of work is changing - hey isn't that what technological change is all about?
