Michael Hara "3dfx is definitely spending a lot of money in retail and it is paying off. They have the premier name in the retail channel, but that's been built up over 3 or 4 years. We will catch them up. Now, we have the best franchise in the retail channel, Creative. When Creative has had the retail channel to themselves, as it does in audio, it has built the brand so well. Creative can so wide and so deep, so quickly that, I am glad things are going the way they are. Now, I have the best retail brand in the business, and I am free to build the Nvidia brand." Nvidia guy saying they have Creative? hmmm... (am I going crazy or didn't they "have" Creative before? TNT blaster? :P ... or does he mean now that Diamond is more of a S3-Cubic zirconium(heh), they REALLY have Creative? Because of course, they would not be in discussions for a vertial model because the Creative guy said... Talk about a deceptive chart... by "the total pc market share and [including] the first quarter.." what type of time period are we talking about here and how much of the "other" category does 3dfx make up. I'm supprised cirrus logic wasn't there.... ROFL.. The only reason that I read this whole thing is to preface the 3dfx response and see if Tom shows any further bias... I gave this guy one last shot.... and he is still full of it. Jeff P.
