Thank you Grace. Yes MRS. BLUE is four years out since the end of treatment (surgery, chemo, radiation). Still each day is a gift and there are no sure things with cancer. Women who make it to five years are by and large the ones who beat cancer but there are no rules.
Our dear friend Rita was four years out when her cancer came back, spread and then took her life. Near the end she tried drugs in clinical trials. Not so much for herself but for others. She was brave and a hero of mine.
Rita never lost her fight with breast cancer. My Wife, myself and others now fight for her so in my mind Rita's battle is not over and never will be. Cancer wins nothing, nobody loses a battle, someone else just fights for them.
This October my Wife and I will Race for the Cure in Denver as we do each year. It is my belief that we will beat breast cancer with time but that is the point. It is a race and some run out of time. Thanks again and for the link. Race For The Cure link is on my profile.
