Dave talking about holding a stock through the 15th on the 2nd is like dog years.. If the trend reverses I would sell, unless you are contemplating a long term hold, if you are and its an excellent stocks then I'd hold until earnings but why risk the possible sell off? You can get back in after the selloff. In fact I am in the process of looking for a 'good' short term shorter (not only shorts 'bad' stocks but good stocks that have gotten too extended), to collaborate with on how best to play the 'after earnings' downswing that we have seen in stocks like NKE, PAYX, MWD..as well as other shorts.

I think it would be a boon to our earnings plays if we could catch the 'fall' and profit from it as well. I was thinking of either a short weekly column on the website and/or a section on the watch list (bi weekly or more) with a few 'short' ideas.
