As many people have intimated on this board FCLX is doing tremendous things at the company level three of which I find
extremely compelling with three highly respected partners:

1. The recent announcement to pursue Interent Solutions with IBM for Chilean Businesses
2. FCLX's relationchip with CISCO as a borrower for now and potentially a more significant investment role in the future
3. GE CAPITAL's equity investment at $8.00 a share - it's amazing that the company is still only selling at a slight premium to their entry point

The bottom line is the company is extremely well positioned
as one of the premier high-bandwith integrated telco companies in South America - and a number of us on this board have known this for quite some time - however this is still a relatively unknown story with coverage from only a couple of tiny research houses and are shares are still on the small cap exchange - consider yourselves lucky that you know about this GEM before the rest of the world does!

As I'm sure that you are aware, there have been significant buy-outs and mergers in the telecom and fiber industries. This last issued coupled with the good write-ups about FCLX and the fact that UBS took its profit and left = higher prices.

I just hope that the numbers and the shareholders meeting will provide good news.

Even if the news is not great, I believe that most of us have bought at a point where a small downturn would not affect us (that much). Most of us think that one way or another the management will pull us through and we do not want to miss that jump. Today is one example.

Firstcom finished the session at the highs of the session on increased
volume

10/12/99 6:23:28 PM Friday shares of Firstcom steadily traded higher to close
at the best levels of the day. It is impressive to see a stock climb up to close at
the high on a day where all the the averages finished at the lows of the session.
Traders may want to watch FCLX for possible follow through move up. Last
news for this stock was on Sept.23rd. FirstCom Corporation announced that it
has signed an agreement with IBM to develop and market e-business solutions
to business customers in Chile.
