Even if it is FUD....remember that the best, or even equivilant, technology answers will not prevail unless they are backed by the powers that be, and supported by large capital infusions to develop the massive infrastructure necessary to build, test, etc.

Right now, with the notable exceptionof VIA's efforts (which I think Rocky has pointed out can be tied up on court for years), there is no support or meaningful effort to develop PC 133. Intel has the power and the bucks to go any direction they want, and I believe from everything I have read that they are more firmly behind Rambus designs than ever.

The long march to Rambus acceptance continues basically unimpeded. I think the market has accepted this with the runup from 56 to 93 in recent weeks.

My point is that all the arguments about whether Rambus brings a performance advantage to basic desktop systems is moot. Whether better or just as good, its coming.

Alan, I don't know if it's FUD or not. I sure as hell hope it is. The problem is that it came from a group discussion of techies with no axe to grind. My reason for posting was to get more info from this thread from those with more knowledge than I have.
