The stock is smokin' today- this is all coming from the US , Canada is functionally closed today- yesterday was a national holiday and nearly everyone took today off for a four day weekend.

Guaranteed there is no news from Ottawa .

Leo, I'm no Linux expert, but I think XESS 4.0 from Applied Information Systems is probably "the best." There are quite a few out there, what's the answer? Applix looks good also.

Corel had better make Quattro Pro the best. As fragmented as the Linux applications are, and the state of development most of them are in, Corel can provide strong credibility to anyone shopping for Linux applications. "Trusting Corel" can easily propel it as the clear choice without users having to spend a lot of time researching, and downloading and playing with demo's etc.

Been using applixware for three years, Spread sheet is very little different in functionality from excell. Spread sheet can have cells linked to real time data feeds and Applix provide's a nice builder app.

Aplx has risen from 5 to 10 in the last 2 weeks also on Linux press, as I guess. Applix is itty bitty even when compared with corel. Less than 10 mil shares.

What I do with linux. watman.com
