ed ... just got janus report: janus20 fund, managed by that scott schoelzel showed the top ten equity holdings October 31, 1998 : Dell (#1 postion) : 10.7% of total holdings April 30, 1999: Dell (#5 position) : 4.8% of total holdings Caveat: Past performance does not guarantee future results. best regards Paul

Ed- I know your "so you think you can run the business better than Mikey..." was a jab at those who have criticized you for offering criticism....but, I will still add, that I would never pretend to know more about running Dell Computer then their fine management... I do think Dell can improve on its PR and retorts to the common notions floated and enforced by many (uninformed) in the media... This (counter) message needs to be hammered home... Ultimately, the stock will grow near its growth rate regardless...however, stocks can (and do) get discounted/marked up due to other factors...For gosh sakes, I don't know what Cisco has done to deserve such a premium, but, as a shareholder, I'll take it...Dell's PR battle could alleviate some pressure on what I perceive as a current discounted factor priced in to Dell shares... (The discount due to perceived "free PC"/ISP/lack of overall market growth, etc) Let me emphasise though, that I believe ultimately, it is the earnings growth that really matter (the most)
