Dear Blue,

I am not quite sure how to respond to your posting...so I will just reply to one small portion. I also enjoy that part of the Island of Maui that you hold so fondly.

As for Steve Case...he graduated from the prestigious private High School Punahou on Oahu.
He has family ties here. It would be nearly impossible to avoid connections to Steve Case when dealing with Hawaii. He is highly regarded at his alma mater...and even attends their small and humble carnival every year. He buys the young childrens art work and donates to the school.

I know you seem to be emotionally involved and apparently events occurred with you and AOL. I have AOL as my ISP and read Steve's comments about the shooting. I really got the sense he was sincere in his overriding concerns. He immediately contacted the FBI on the first day of the shootings to report that AOL may have evidence.

I am not sure that Steve purposely meant to show concern on one hand and make a conscientiously, back room deal, on the other.

Obviously this issue is still very sensitive for you...and I do not mean to add to any pain.

I think you should not give up on Maui...

Aloha,
Mary
