Re: ".the market is well aware of dell past and current position...the stock languishes because no "vision"(hate that word)was made clear by "mikey"...talking about the power of computing and broad band means pc, pc, pc....unlike ibm declaring itself the "backbone" of the net...""

See now I would view that in a different manner. I think the market always valued Dell highly for the way it currently does things. The only thing that has seemingly changed is the way the market values the business that Dell is in. So Dell has no other alternative but to SHOW the market how wrong their perception is. MD has been trying to speak of that but the market has chosen to wait and see for itself or is taking other's -IBM's, HWP's, CPQ's- words more seriously than one MD.

The market has demonstrated with ORCL that it will not value up certain stocks until the earnings report is out. No one can talk or speak a stock up better than Larry and the street didn't listen to him till earnings proof. Even IBM was languishing the day before earnings last quarter and then SHOTUP in afterhours on the report.

In a high valued market investor's are beginning to cautiously wait for proof.
