Very nice post Terry D., that's a good piece of information.

To add to that...

I find it interesting when companies want to setup their own Web server and they go out and get their Web Site registered and then they feel that one ISDN or one T1 line is going to handle 5 million hits in a day. Then I begin to explain to them about bandwidth and traffic handling capacities and they begin to see that their great ideas are not so great. Then I suggest that as an alternative they rent or buy space with a service provider that has the bandwidth and the traffic capabilities to handle the number of hits they feel will occur.

That's why when ole Joe got his self a Web company and involved other companies like 3COM and CISCO, he was putting his well thought out and organized plan together. These types of plans are what makes a great company do well and become successful. I believe that the best way to grow a company is to hire people that are smarter that you. People that can take your vision and make it a reality. The only hitch to this thought, is that you can never, ever, forget who and what brought you to the place you wanted to go. When you do, the foundations of all that you put together begins to fall apart and sooner than later you find yourself all alone with just the memory of what you did.........and the feeling of.....how did this happen to me!
