Greg,

In evaluating investing in AMD, (I have), one would be foolish if they did not consider the risk that this company may not remain a Going Concern. Imho

I have too. Even though I have a 9-year investment in Intel, I would invest in AMD if I thought it would make me money. My conclusion is always the same. I can't bring myself to invest in a company whose profitability is at the mercy of another's. And at the mercy they are, even now, because the Athlon will not make any money unless Intel allows it to. Look at how much money Intel's competitors have made the last 6 months! And so if Jerry Sanders wants to be the Blanche DuBois of the semiconductor world and rely on the kindness of others, so be it. I just don't feel comfortable with that type of investing.

Athlon is the fastest CPU in a multi-tens of billions x86 CPU market. It may represent some small value to investors.
