Sam, Yes, I don't think either area is really recovering. Taiwan and Singapore are doing well, but they were never basket cases. Korea came back on short term strength in DRAM and the miracle of Emachines. But the DRAM strength is now wussy weakness and Emachines can't carry the whole country. Japan's numbers are as phony as a $3 bill. China is getting worse. So far, the only thing recovering in most of Asia is the stock markets. As we have shown here, that can be important. But I don't see financial gamesmanship alone overcoming the raw fact of overcapacity in everything.
