Perry, Just because the local provider does not sell the particular phone, does not mean that their network can not support the phone.

I bought a Qphone as a gift and had it activated in a service provider's area that did not sell the phone. It was a hassle to get the correct software initialization effort completed (actually had to get a competitor network to activate it!) but it can be done.

It might be tough to find a representative who has the knowledge and is willing to help, but it can be done.

Dont take no for an answer. It can be done.
