Ummm....I'm pretty sure that the Sprint network is entirely 1900 MHz. Unless I'm mistaken, the QCP860 wont work anywhere on Sprint's network (They also dont have any analog that I know of).

Uncle Frank--Thanks for the info. I will check out the local Sprint store and see what they have to say. The response I posted was an email I received directly from the Sprint PCS site--not a local store. Is it not worth waiting for the 1960?
PS. It's "Greg" not "Geoffrey"--be forewarned in case I post to G&K <g> (Sorry for the confusion, but "Greg Moore" was already taken when I became an SI member, and I didn't know about "the other G. Moore")

Not to gloat, but the nice Airborne van just drove away after dropping my Airtouch Q-860 on the doorstep. Ooooh la la. Two items in the box are worthy of note:

(1) The 4.5oz phone itself.
Conclusion: Small and beautiful.

(2) The piece of paper (interestingly, separate from the user manual). titled "Updated Qualcomm CDMA Patent List" with 236 (count em, 236) official US Patent Office numbers in very small type and ending with "Other Patents Pending".
Conclusion: Big and very beautiful.

JohnG: How 'bout "takes a flaying and keeps on CDMAing"?
