Easy. Just a quick response here. 1. No other gods before me. There is one true God whether his name be Jehovah, Allah, whatever. There is some power higher than our own. 2. Graven images. God is the ultimate power in the universe and we should not place $$$ or other graven images before our respect for Him. JLA

Hi Achilles, I would be more of a mind to shut down the public schools before putting the 10 commandments up. I will give some thought to those 2 you mention and post back another day. Andy

Hi Achilles, To have no other G-ds before Yahweh means exactly that.. put Yahweh first because he has dominion over all. Why would a person want to put a lesser god before Yahweh? The second commandment is against idolatry - idol worship. That is anything which would come between a person and G-d. Today such things would include money, sex, prestige, power, and the list goes on and on. It's very easy to allow something to come between oneself and G-d. FWIW Andy
