Meathead,

Tech Question,
How is Dell going to react to the new AMD chip that is to be released in the next few weeks? It is supposed to be faster than anything INTC has to offer. Since DELL makes most of it's money selling the fastest and most expensive machines, what are they going to do when they can not sell the fastest machines?

Do you know of anything that I don't know of that would cause the above situation not to arise? DELL may have a card up their sleeve that I don't know about.

If this is the case, could it have a material impact on Dell's sales or earnings?
OR, would such a chip from AMD, in a competitor's machine, though faster than Dell's Intel offerings, just not be palatable to a large enough consumer base to have a detectable impact on DELL as a whole and as a stock?

That is kind of a mouth full, but you always seem to give good answers.

BTW, nice to chat again.
