FWIW

From RB, can't confirm or deny... from the seek board: post 2183

"FYI SEEK update: SEEK is to announce the completion of the Disney buyout at 9 am on 7/6/99 (Tuesday). The price is targeted at $70-$74 a share. The stock has traded the past 2-3 days as if it the takeover will be completed soon. It opened up over $1 and yesterday's close above $50 yesterday indicates an upward trend. As you know, Disney current controls about 47%? of SEEK and has announced that it will at some point complete it's buyout.
FINALLY, SEEK has scheduled a conference call for 2pm on Tuesday. If this all is true, then the conference call will be to gloat about the Disney deal and provide specifics. I am very long and loving life. Let's see what happens on Tuesday. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US LONGS"

TODAY: evidently the deal with Disney is completed--total buy out at $75 (some easy $$ to be made here)?
