Interesting point, but I guess it depends on what one considers the Market to be.

If it is the Dow, the Market closed up 6 days in a row on

12/31/91
5/20/96
11/14/96
12/30/96
11/9/98
and 12/30/98

But my records only go back to 1991.

Now, 7 days in a row,

1/2/92
5/21/96
and 11/15/96

It is unusual, I do not deny that.

By the way, the record....according to my 10 year records, is 1/6/92 when the Dow closed up the 9th day in a row as you said.

Interesting Stat, just had to look at it for myself.
