Thanks! What does it mean to remain quiet, though? Are they not allowed to discuss anything financial with the public? No revenue projections, no recommendations, etc? Can an analyst issue a recommendation during this period? What is the purpose of the quiet period? I can understand the quiet period for upcoming quarterly earnings announcement, but why for an IPO's post 25 days? It almost seems that the quiet period is a time of total guess work for anyone who buys the stock, as there can be no feedback?
