Bob, about Sun Micro and whether they do any of their own storage development, I have been under the impression that they are a reseller of Data General Clariion storage systems. Sounds like they also do "rack and stack" assembly of components like storage arrays, fibre channel switches, etc. into complete storage systems. Have to admit I don't know if they do value added development, like software, which IBM and EMC do. I would guess they do. So, I didn't give Sun enough credit, sounds like. The fact that they are the leading Unix box seller makes me guess that they would add value. In any event, I'm not worried about Sun eating EMC's lunch, which is what I jumped on. Sun is nowhere in S390, which is still very big, and they are not much, if anything in NT. EMC does storage for these two, plus Unix.
