Sarmad -- tech problems, no growth, low barriers -- you have your patsy -- just give it a couple of days. There will almost certainly be a YHOO party -- and interest rates should be calm till end of week. You just might be a few days early.

The fact that EBAY went down on a day when the market was up is not a good sign. Their auction count numbers are not increasing either. Anindo

i would be very careful of having a short on ebay over the weekend any news will cause it to spike,,imo the markets will open strong monday due to renewed confidence,,,as for ebay being down today in a strong market i think it was profit taking coupled with low volume i just read a very bullish article on ebay in forbes or fortune (i allways get them confused)and how they are greatly expanding into the high end business to create bigger profits but the one thing that really stuck out to me was their expansion of established business selling over their site and the business to business growth,,,i would be very carefull being short ebay at this price i would breath much easier if it were 180,,it could easily move 40 points up but the liklihood of it going down 40 is mild unless the nets crash,system crashes again for 24 hours or horrible earnings ,,but i would wait to see more proof of the last one before i short,,,,another potential reason for the drop today could be that news of its outage this week might have finally spread becaus it didn't go down whenit happened..
