hi jc,

good of you to help the fellow out. <g3>

i don't run ie5.0 but here's what may work...

Microsoft Internet Explorer includes a feature that lets you prevent your computer from accessing content that you don't feel is appropriate. Here's how to use the Internet Explorer Content Advisor to screen objectionable material:

1.On the View menu, click Options.
2.On the Security tab, click the Enable Ratings button, and then select the specific content you want to avoid.

tell him to uncheck enable, or whatever the setting is to open up access.

meanwhile here is the ie5.0 home page and then a 'content advisor' search result. that ought to get him back to where he wants to be.

microsoft.com

search.microsoft.com

let us know how he fares, k?

:)
