Took the wife to lunch. Came home and she started crying. It was a squirrel her dog had killed and she thought it was one of her cats. The cat was in the house. Go figure.

Please give ____a name. You can't have a cat walking around with no name. It's cruel. Especially if you are exploiting him. Kitten labor. There should be laws against this.

Is Stumpy the foreman?

____ might be a relative of my cat. As an unweened kitten she crawled through the hole in the screen door. She didn't tell me her name (she was awfully little and mom was gone, so maybe she didn't know it) and I didn't ask 'cause she was "going to go away very soon". But the guy whose house she'd wandered to mine from didn't want her back. He'd just rescued her from a dog that had her cornered and didn't want her. So she stayed. Then she got funny about the name thing. I'd been calling her Stranger and she said that was fine. She never did tell me her real name and I never tried to figure it out. Stranger was a good 'un, cat and name.
