Mighty Proud To Say I'm A GNET LONG!! That means I'm Stocksmart! I get to go places and know people would never suspect to look at me that I know so much about Internet Stocks as to have a real nice # of shares of Mighty GNET, #1 in return % of all Internets listed early this year on the internet.com list!! Thanking Blue who got in on it real early, for turning me on to it when it was still early enough to get such huge rides up to the tippy top as it's given! Getting carried away by the smart moves of GNET carving out a place headed for # 1 Site On The Internet is a thrill!! Knowing that Paul and Russell are Homeboys, and watching Paul's ventures grow toward convergence alongside Russell's dynamite acquisitions, all the while knowing GNET will be a centerpiece when Next Logical Move comes to fruition... makes me go over the top!
Having had GNET since before the first split; got to grokking it. And it must have been some kind of telepathy from the Dotcom in it, telling me hunches when to buy and sell shares when I was green at that and trading to grow shares for the first time....not only did I get those GNET shares back and on a freeride, but bought shares in some other fabulous internet companies too with the profits from those GNET trades. When Shakeouts come along I just turn off my computer and do something else til whoevers shaking the tree quits it. You know, sometimes I wish I had used that money to only buy more GNET, sometimes I look at my portfolio and am tempted to trade the whole thing in for GNET only. Yep, GNET's done better for me than Anything Else (with CMGI coming in Second).
But because owning internet stocks is not only money in the bank but it's like owning works of art that are the generational masterworks of our time, I keep the balance as is...with GNET being the largest # of shares I have in any major holding, sort of like the fun of wondering whether the Rembrandt should be displayed in the same room as the Degas, if I had those. Maybe someday GNET will treat me to one of those. I plan to buy even more soon, when another stock of mine gives some pop that makes it worthwhile to trim it down and put it into GNET, or to put it back into GNET - knowing that if I'd put it into GNET instead in the first place it'd be a bigger chunk of money at this time. But that's ok, I like owning shares in different internet companies. It's fun to have a reason to pay attention to them, they're so interesting. But GNET is the most interesting, and I like the personality of GNET investors, too. Watching GNET come back up so soon after it split heading into what looks like might be shaping up to be The Mother Of All Summer Tech Rallies is a Big Thrill for me, and I Do Mean Big. Not being born with a silver spoon, I don't take such thrills for granted. Being a part of GNET's Silicon Investor Community on Go2Net hypes my enjoyment of my work with my investments and of owning a nice chunk of GNET shares, and GNET's made me money many times over by putting a piece of stock knowledge in front of me on SI at the right time. Speaking of hype, that probably looks like what this is, and you know, if you think so maybe you're right but not completely. I'm truthfully sincere here, as this lucky pick of GNET has added to the joy I find in my life.
If GNET ever invented a cure for cancer....then you'd see me get REALLY enthusiastic, so enthusiastic it'd make this post look like a page of technical writing describing grounded plugs at the ends of lengths of extension cords without any illustrations. I'd get so enthusiastic I'd be Verklempt. But I'm not expecting anything like that coming out-of-sector from GNET... Wussup Stock Leader, did you hear some kinda rumor?
WE GNET LONGS ARE LUCKY DUCKS!!
