2. No, most analysts do a terrible job on the IC industry. The best analyst in this area went from BBRS to a private banking firm about 3 months ago (Elias Moosa), so now I'd have to say Osha at Merrill is probably one of the best. He doesn't have much of a track record because he worked under Kurlak, but he was pounding the table on GALT very early this year and he did make some excellent calls in PMCS last year.

FWIW, if we hit a slowdown in the PC area toward the end of this year, these IC stocks will come down also (perhaps from higher levels). Why? Because "chips are chips" to most of these guys. I'd swear some of them think ATM chips are used in cash machines.
