How did the revolutionists defeat the English armys on the 4th Day of July a long while ago??the English Army and Navy was far superior to the revolutions minute untrained, undisciplined forces...With the English sending several well trained divisions by sea from india, trained and devoted to the queen to end this revolution and claim New England and beyond under their rules and laws.

Here are the main events which occured...The revolutionists saw and lived peaceably with the new England Indians and tribes further to the North, and also saw how English Rule would affect their lives and those of their future generations. Under the freedom of the land and Indian cultures these scattered men and women decided that freedom as Indian cultures lived was worth giving the lifes of them selves, Versus the Known dictatorship of English Rule and Taxation. These scattered people under the guidance of Abenaki and New England Indian tribes formed a Revolution Army under General George Washington..and the fight for freedom and liberty and Justice for all had began. The revolution army was about all but defeated, and the English sending the highly trained and motivated Armed forces to finish the battle seemed all but sure England would conquer the region. With the French Navy and French Forces remaining neutral.. What was the main reason England was defeated??

Here is what truly happened. An Indian scout from new England learned of this English force arriving and saw what would happen to all the Indian tribes in his Home lands if the revolution army was defeated, left Massachusetts and came into Abenaki country in Vermont. The Abenaki, who allied with the revolution army, and neutral French forces saw the end to life as they knew it. After the great chiefs formed a counsel over the issue, it was decided that the French must send out their navy to intercept and ambush this English fleet or all Freedoms and democracy would be lost. The Abenaki cousil chiefs called the french fathers together and after some persuasion the french decided it best to keep their relationship with the Abenaki Indians a priority and sent out the French Naval forces to intercept the English along with the Revolution Navy. The Last battle began out at sea, and the Star spangled banner was written that night. The next morning the English knew they were defeated and General Washington was left in command of this region.

General Washington Knowing full well that the Abenaki warriors, who served under him, turned the tide of the war. With the knowledge of war, land, survival and strategies given to Georges forces He promised Soveriegnty to the Abenaki Nation in this United states.

Further not knowing anything about democracy, the White fathers requested assisitence from the Chiefs of the wabanaki Indian Nations in developing a constitution in which all men could live as the Indians they knew. With Liberty, Justice and freedom for all. This Indian council, led by a miKmaq chief persuaded the great white fathers that the first words written in any law must be "We the people" In order for democracy to work as in Indian country.

To this day the US government has not lived up to the promises of George Washington to recognize and give Soveriegnty to Abenaki indians. This Process is still in the court systems without court action. In the mean time the Abenaki Nation has lost most of its language speaking elders and some of our cultures. We still live in N'daKinna as was in the past and the water is still unpoisoned, the Forests are still full of Plant and Animal life and the air is still clean.

We the Abenaki still have hope that the US government may one day fulfill their promise for our ancestors huge role in Americas freedom and the making of Democracy, let freedom ring.
