I saw RTev's remarks (I'm a Long, #14) and am also concerned about the AOL tie. THAT is threatening, IMHO.

I'm glad you like the new thread.

I'm thinking about putting together a public portfolio of Paul Allen Wired World Holdings. Let's start a discussion about which stocks should be included. For example, it's obvious that GNET and HSAC should be included as they are obvious components of a broadband world, but should ASYM (Asymetrix) also be included? Probably.

Also, what weightings should be assigned to the various companies in the portfolio? I was thinking of basing the weighting on the market cap of the individual stock vs. the overall portfolio.

What do you folks think? Which companies should be used and how should we assign the weightings?
