Paul, the hotel service is easy to understand but the residence will be very interesting and unique to us. There are two ways to do it.

a) The same as the hotel setup. In this case a subscriber will pay 2 fees , one to MDU for high speed service plus their regular ISP fee. this ensures the same e-mail address. The MDU fee just gets them faster service.

b) The same setup as the 'wave' or TELUS's ADSL. MDU will contract to a single ISP and any one who joins will lose their e-mail address and have just one fee.

The key point here is a) will be expensive but you keep your e-amil address b) will be cheaper and will compete directly with cable and telco DSL, but you have to change address's.

There are other scenario's but they are very expensive and cumbersome.
I would like to know which one they have in mind as changing e-mails seems to be like losing a close relative to some people.
