<Why not give the child to Christine and make the woman clean her house for the next 18 years?> I am in Tibet, waiting for John Galt. It is REALLY cold up here, and I can hardly even think straight. I guess it would be nice to have someone to clean my house, but I hardly notice the dirt, anyway. And I do believe that men should bear responsibility for their children. It may surprise you to know that I am very much in favor of welfare mothers being forced to declare the identity of the fathers of their children. Why should I have to pay taxes to take care of them? I believe that teenaged pregnant girls should have to stay at home with their parents unless their parents are abusive, or at least that I should not be forced to subsidize their separate households being established. And that subsequent children should not be rewarded by larger benefits. That kind of muddled thinking is what led us into the welfare mess we are just starting to clean up.
