Cary, thanks for proposing an interesting exit strategy. A few days
ago I pined that SI boards were not as dynamic and informative as 3-4
yrs ago. Your post reinvigored me and is as quality as ever. I must
surf this thread more often.

Cary,

I was writing this post to you earlier today when my brower crashed and then said to hell with it. But upon reevaluating your post to Ian and Thomas I have to comment on the value of this thread and your contributions.

I am developing a sell strategy, and as you say, it has to be done in the context of how big I think this up cycle will be. It also has to be done in the context of what OTHERS think it will be.

I believe it will be a multi-year cycle, assuming the mkt holds together. And if the cycle goes into 2001 as I am hoping, I have a general target to sell sometime in the summer/fall of 2000.

This is my current guess, which could certainly change soon. Do you have a tentative timeline like mine? Do you base it on PSR? or BTB? or both? or something else?

You contributions are appreciated.

Rgds, D

Cary and all,
FWIW, I have determined my sell point for my remaining semi, LRCX.
Using PSR as my primary guide, I will place a sell order at 50
for 1/2 my holdings. If that gets triggered, I will put in a
stop loss order each day for 3 points below the day's close in
hopes of catching more of a ride up, but if it is tripped at
47, I will walk away happy. If we hit 57, I will drop the trigger
point to 2 dollars below the day's close and carry forward as before.
I will simply sell all of my remaining holdings at 60.

Thanks for all the help from ALL who participated on this thread.
This has been my best experience with any board any where on
any topic.
