I think perhaps Preferred has changed their phone answering procedures.

I called today to cancel two limit orders. (WHY I had to call to cancel them is explained below...) The person who answered the phone did NOT hand the call off to anybody, and cancelled the orders.

Of course, it could be that because it was a cancellation, it didn't actually require a broker. If so, that's a GOOD thing, because I'd rather the brokers weren't tied-up cancelling orders, giving out quotes, etc.

Now, as to WHY I had to call to cancel... I placed the orders using Delta Trader Pro. I only had access to the web site at the time that I wanted to cancel, and the orders were not visible through the web site. There's some kind of wall between Delta Trader Pro and the regular Delta Trader website.

(Delta Trader Pro is Preferred's dedicated Windows client. Quirky, but much preferable to any web site I've used. VERY good feedback on order progress.)
