hmm, I read his column from time to time but don't remember his name. Yeah, that's cool.

And I loved playing fairy godmother. It was all the funner because they got to be VIP's for the night. <g> They were very cool. Especially after dealing with a few folks that were nasty to me because they couldn't get in (we'd try to tell to reserve in advance) I was really struck by that couple. Not only did they not get upset at me, they didn't get upset at each other. They had a night out and they were going to enjoy it. And the truth is there is lot there to see without seeing the special exhibit. They were so good that I was really hating that they couldn't get in. I think it made us all happy when I remembered the magic tickets. I love that stuff. And, yeah, the people that give alot to the museum (goddess bless 'em) and the bigwigs in town get the treatment all the time (though they have to work for it from me) so it's especially fun to give that treatment to someone that's just plain cool and nice.

I know what you mean about the snowcone. That's all it takes to make a kid happy and give him/her something to think well about the world with sometimes. One of my funner moments was paying for the rest of a kid's candybar one day when he was short on change. His little mug lit up. A quarter can still go a long ways.
