Jack, your words are always welcome... Here is an update on Stock Pick of the Week Portfolio...These picks were given at the beginning of each week in June by TA Trader on this thread..If anyone doubts that these picks were given, just check back on the thread, and you will see they were mentioned here at that time..They are listed in order of when they were recommended and suggested buy area... 1st Week of June MCOM recommended as buy in 9.50-10.00 area 2nd Week of June TRID recommended as buy in 8.00-8.50 area 3rd Week of June TIE recommended as buy in 9.00-9.50 area 4th Week of June TMAR recommended in 6.75-7.25 area During the last week of June we had AERL on our buy list if it came back to the 11.50-12.50 area, thus far it has been stubborn and not pulled back... MCOM $10,0000 invested, today $27,750 TRID $8,500 invested, today $9,060 TIE $9,500 invested, today $10,680 TMAR $7250 invested, today $6870.00 Total Invested through JUNE 1999=$35,250 Total Value of model portfolio=$54,360 Rate of Return for June 1999= 54%..... Now whose to say we can't keep up with those Wall Street Money managers...Of course, none of them read these threads anyway, because we are the small guys, no one listens to us.... Since I will be in Chicago(Heh, Joe, PM me your address and I will stop by your office) Tuesday and Wednesday to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday, won't be around again to trade... Anyway, here is the stock pick of the week for 1st week of July 1999 The pick is VIAS....Buy area is 4.50-5.00, no higher, since this looks ripe for pullback, and fill gap at 4.43 before it continues its slow ascent.......6 month target is 9.00 a share...Not quite a double, but yet a decent rate of return...There has been some fund cushion support in the 4.00-4.50 area, so you don't have to worry about much downside..GSCO is the AX, so keep an eye on him..ADX at 22, the beginning of a new trend...Two day spike, so prone to consolidate, be nimble... P.S. Long PAGE over the weekend...If Frank is right, he wins Rumor of the Month award.....
