I wonder if men get more "maternal" when they get older. My dad just got back from Seattle from visiting my brother, they drove up to Canada and went to Vancouver and Glacier Lake and whatnot. And my brother got really mad at my father for spoiling Kammer, who is still an Olympic-class spoiled brat. My father dotes on that boy like you wouldn't believe. I am glad for him that he has someone to love like that, but it's a big change in his personality. And then a lot of older guys dote on their pets. And then those who are fathers seem to really get into home repair jobs for their children and such.
