"I thought BB was mostly followed for his general insight offered, it strikes me as peculiar that the folks here are anticipating an imminent timing call on the bear side"
1. I cannot write for others but, I listen and subscribe for a) general insight and b) timing calls.
2. I am not anticipating an "imminent" call for a bear. (Immanent, maybe, but that's another story.) Brinker has said clearly that the Model anticipates new highs in the next weeks or summer months and that at the point of the highs, a distinct decision-point will have been reached. That point will determine whether "call" is to remain invested or not.

Question: Why the h*ll is it raining so much in British Columbia? It's summertime, for heaven's sake!!!!!

"...surely he doesn't propound flipping a portfolio of stock positions on his call? "
Oh yes he does. He has been very clear: if the model calls a bear market, he will exit all long positions. All. He will recommend the same to subscribers. A complete flip from the current position. Digital, man. On or off.
