I'm buying Vanguard GNMA. But, I would be open to another fixed income fund, should one come to my attention that meets my objectives of nice yield and LOW expenses.

Also, I notice Bob has started talking about T-Notes again; two-year Notes, I think.

Best wishes,

I2

Carl R.,

Now I need some suggestions from you guys. I would like some suggestions for high yield no-load funds with a reasonably short duration to reduce interest rate risks. This is for a Roth IRA, so I don't want a tax-deductible fund.

Investor2 had a great suggestion.

When you said high yield...you didn't mean a junk bond fund, right?

I would look to Vanguard, no matter what type of fund you want, even if you have to pay a $25 fee to buy the fund through your discount broker.
