Although you can't prevent them from having sex, I do think that what you and I have done is tried to get them to understand the ramifications, the responsibilities. That done, you equip them! Dan was very funny with CW. He was a Moot Court winner and captain of the International Moot Court team that competed nationally in law school. He approaches a lot of his parenting the same way he attacked argument. He somehow managed to advise CW to carry protection without ever conceding that this meant it was ok to have sex. The ever rational CW and he got into a debate about it, that if CW didn't plan to have sex, why would Dan want him to carry a condom- was he condoning sex? Admitting that CW couldn't control himself? It ended up being a lecture on some law thing(Cobe will know) where you argue IF something had happened without conceding that it ever did... This sounds sort of like what you've done- and I think you're absolutely right in this approach. So since we agree and we are earth mothers, it must be correct.
