<<It may be that our society has become TOO permissive, however.>>

Just how would society go about retracting "permission" it has already granted itself?

Actually, that is not a facetious question.

Would it help if there were fewer women's magazines featuring "How to Please Your Man" stories, with busty, pouty women on the cover? (Talk about liberation! Bah! Same old sex slave stuff. And women peddling it to women!)

Would it help if there were fewer TV shows, a la Jerry Springer, focussing on sexual oddities? Fewer stand-up comics for whom sex jokes constitute their main -- or only -- staple?

Would it help if we tried a little more to sublimate some of all that free-floating sexual energy into constructive pursuits?

If so, what would we do to achieve it? Censorship is not the way. Calling out the Comstock Brigades, or the Vice Squads, is not the way either. Getting the local gossips on one another's cases is also not acceptable.

So it has to be a voluntary "change of heart." What would you propose -- if you would propose anything at all?
