Is that a rainbow in the sky?

The taxi driver crossed Washington Bridge. He had forgotten the money for the toll, but they let him pass anyway since the meteors were due that day. He turned to look at me asking, "Is that a rainbow in the sky?"

"I don't know," I admitted. "But I have rainbow children."

He laughed and the day was refreshed. Someone honked their horn and traffic moved on. No one evacuated the city because no one knew where to go.

The meteors crept ever closer while children played in the park.
