This is a very huge opportunity for Novell to jump right back into the leadership role. Novell has outlined it's plans to make Novell Education synoymous with better jobs, career advancement and more. Currently many of their courses are {ACE} accredited so you can apply them towards a college degree. They also have a "student loan" program which can be a great boost for those looking to make the move into the IT industry. Aside from that, they are starting courses that are geared towards cross-vendor systems. They are working on an Oracle Database Admin course for Oracle on NetWare. There's talk about some IBM courses as well as Netscape-specific courses. This is very important. There's more but I haven't had the time yet to look over all the material we received from Novell's EDGE conference last week in Boston. {My boss won Novell Education's highest award, The Audrey for Excellence in Spirit of Partnership). This conference could have had some effect on the price of Novell's stock :) I hope so. By the way, there's also a huge push to get Novell into K-12 schools. They have a product called WebLessons which allows teachers to develop projects or classwork that give students access to the internet in a safe and managed way.
