Surprisingly, all the wild animals seem to behave as guests - with the cats as their hosts. I have seen the coons fight amongst themselves but they don't fight back when the cats express their territoriality. When a cat with kittens brings them out and introduces them to the world, she is quick to lay down the law to the coons the very first night. By the second night, the coons will be walking around the kittens like they were old friends. Had the mama cat not done this the coons would have mistook the kittens for little ground critters and killed them. Their intelligence amazes me! As far as your boat, they were probably looking for food.If you leave a pack of crackers (or even some crumbs on the rug) THEY'LL FIND IT! Have a nice holiday! cb
