hi eagle,

i am really perplexed as to why you have not received any responses over there on newsgroups. except the obvious inundation factor. many more users with problems then there are people to fix them.

eagle, did you already try creating a new profile? that really seems like it would work. go to start menu, programs, netscape communicator, utilitities, user profile manager. imo, you don't even have to be concerned about copying mail folders and bookmarks, etc. over to the new profile just yet. that can come later. you just want to see if the new profile gives you access to the advanced preference settings, right? in which case, if it does, you'll know that the old profile contains corrupted netscape data files, and you can delete it as soon as the new profile is brought up to speed with your bookmarks and mail folder.
