unless you load drivers from intel or abit then your stilled running polled i/o rather than bus mastered. I have not reloaded those drivers since my virus infection. I honestly don't even remember where I got them last time.... In terms of what mode the bus is running, I can't offer any help there either...

There is a 36kb file called DMACHECK.EXE that runs a little applet that shows whether it is on or not, and also lets you turn it on or off.(By channel) It is available for download at a number of places, none of which I remember. If you PM me with your email addy, I'll send the file to you. It's what I have been using for a while now.

EDIT: I found an old bookmark that was bad, but I got redirected a few times, and found some of the old information. See benchtest.com for a lot of good information on the subject. There are also some links for various drivers that might be useful.
